Los Bravos

Los Bravos

Over half a century later, the Spanish band Los Bravos “Bring a Little Lovin’” is finally receiving a little lovin’ of its own. The song becomes the only original track by a Latin act on the soundtrack of Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, and also one of two featured ’60s songs of the film’s first teaser trailer.

In summer 2019, Miguel Vicens meets Bruce Game, Freddie Mercury impersonator, in Mallorca and immediately calls up on Pablo Sanllehi. The founding members of Los Bravos were convinced that he could fill Mike Kennedy’s unique shoes for their upcoming ride after a successful movie. Since then, Bruce has released numbers of singles following by an upcoming album with Bravos as well as performing live benefiting from some extremely talented musician at the island where it all began.

In 1966 Los Bravos enjoyed major success around the globe with their exceptional singer Mike, as their debut single, “Black Is Black” hit No. 2 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and topped the Canadian Singles Chart.

Although Los Bravos were not able to replicate the success of “Black Is Black,” the Spanish quintet released a bible of beautiful songs over their active years and became just one of the few Spanish rock bands with major international recognition.

Original members of Los Bravos had also some major tragedies; Fernandez, the keyboardist for Los Bravos, committed suicide in 1968 after his pregnant wife died in a car accident with Fernández at the steering wheel. Martínez, the guitarist, died in a motorcycle accident in 1990 at the age of 46. Miguel Vicens, the bassist, died only few weeks before their latest show in 2022. He was an active member of the band til his last moments but only his bass made it onto the stage presenting a magnificent tribute to him and Los Bravos in Trui Theatre at Palma De Mallorca.
