Bruce believes that the foundation to become a musician comes from the love of music from early age. So it is very important to let the children discover freely with any instrument they would like to pick up and always be ready and supportive if they eventually want to change instrument. Having said that, the basic knowledge of music can be described easier and more accessible on piano. So every musician must know the basics on Piano or Keyboard. Understanding the harmony behind the notes should not be always as complicated as it may sound. Harmony and theory can be a very interesting subject even for children if we let them discover through games, appropriate examples and questions from nursery rhymes to chart topping songs.

We need to understand the differentiation in learning and must never compare one student to another. Every individual has got an unleashed potential that is unique and only need to be discovered and decoded. That can take time specially in the early years of practising music, so giving students time and space along the freedom is essential.

On the other hand, students need to understand the fact that without a regular routine and a disciplined exercise planner no great work can be achieved. Just like going to gym and training your muscles, we need to let ourselves explore the process of learning with patients and consistency. We should not rush into this progress and take steps one at a time. Surely, some students show more potential than others which can be supervised by the teachers to alter the exercises routine to maximise the progression perspectives.

After all, music should be fun and enjoyable to play, so it is crucial to keep a good balance between these two factors: discipline and fun.
